Telling Your Story
It’s not just about what you say… it’s about why you want to say it!
To be a true industry influencer, you need to have a clear goal and message that drives change, inspires action, and moves the conversation forward. The best speaker is not always the most senior person in the company, it’s the right person – the one who has a story that matters and can drive real transformation. Is that you?
Think:
- Who is the best person, partner, colleague to communicate the message?
- What story, case study, opinion piece will inspire my peers and spark new ideas?
- What are the key take-aways and how can attendees walk away with practical guidance?
- Why does this matter and how will it drive the industry forward?
Formats
We are seeking a range of different styles to ensure we keep the content fresh, dynamic and impactful throughout the event.
Technical Paper Presentation
Share forward-looking technical concepts and emerging technologies projected to develop within the next 1–3 years. Submissions must focus on vision and innovation, not product promotion.
Presentation
Share practical insights and forward-looking ideas that help peers advance their work. This format is reserved for operators only and is not intended for product pitches.
Panel
Bring diverse perspectives together for a dynamic, moderated discussion that explores challenges, opportunities, and emerging ideas through collaborative dialogue.
One-on-One Interview
A candid conversation that explores real-world challenges, lessons learned, and the drivers behind innovation in a deeper, more personal format.
Demos
Show innovation in action through hands-on demonstrations. This format highlights real solutions, real results, and practical applications, no slide decks required.
Masterclass
An interactive, in-depth session led by subject-matter experts, focused on advanced concepts, actionable skills, and strategies participants can apply immediately.
Guidelines
Break out of the echo chamber
Be bold. Inspire the industry with unconventional thinking and original problem-solving. We’re looking for ideas challenging the industry, disrupting the status quo, or driving significant change. The best ideas are those that inspire others to act. We want our attendees to leave feeling empowered with concrete takeaways that they can apply in their own journey.
What we’re looking for in a technical paper
This isn’t about incremental change – it’s about game-changing and moonshot thinking. We’re looking for session proposals with ideas that challenge established norms; fresh perspectives on tackling age-old challenges from entirely new angles.
- Technical papers that truly challenge assumptions and offer brand new ways of thinking. If your idea is radical, we want to know about it.
- Must debut exclusively at SCTE TechExpo25. Your idea should be fresh—something that hasn’t been widely shared before.
- Must focus on emerging, forward-thinking technology that does not yet exist and is projected to develop within the next 1-3 years.
What we’re not looking for
- Ideas that have been covered before with a slightly different twist. Ideas that have no clear direction, actionable outcome or message.
- Ideas that are ‘playing it safe’.
- Sales pitches about your company or business.
Formats for Sessions
- A panel style requires at least one operator on the panel, and no more than one representative per company. The moderator can be from the same company.
- One-to-One interview must be from two different companies.
Speakers must be confirmed no later than May 15, 2025, or acceptance will be withdrawn.
Masterclass:
- Expert-Led: Facilitated by a subject-matter experts with deep knowledge of the topic.
- Advanced Content: Tailored for experienced professionals or enthusiasts looking to refine or expand their expertise, rather than introductory-level material.
- Interactive: Encourages active participation, including Q&A, group discussions, or problem-solving activities
