SCTE Green Pavilion
The SCTE Green Pavilion at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® will focus on the highest priorities for energy management based on the work of SCTE's Smart Energy Management Initiative (SEMI). With the expansion of the SCTE SEMI mission, this year's green pavilion will not only highlight the practical business of energy conservation but also highlight network availability focused on the cable telecommunications industry.

Under the auspices of the SEMI Steering Council, the SCTE Green Pavilion will assemble a set of qualified exhibitors, each focused on energy efficiency and network availability in at least one of the following areas:

  • Powering alternatives for facilities and plant
  • Fleet and workforce management including alternative-fuel vehicles, smart routing and other fleet management options
  • Load reduction for facilities and plant equipment
  • Improvement in cooling requirements, improved cooling efficiency and alternative cooling systems
  • Operational upgrades and improvements to enable additional efficiencies
  • Disaster preparedness regarding energy support
  • Network availability surrounding power
  • Business services availability surrounding power
  • Information Technology (IT) impact

With this effort, SCTE further demonstrates its aptitude for bringing buyers and sellers together to better equip and plan the networks in the cable telecommunications industry.

New for 2011, attendees will have the opportunity to experience 15 minute presentations from Green Pavilion exhibitors as these companies further demonstrate the technologies being showcased in their green pavilion booths. During show floor hours, presentations will take place every 15 minutes at quarter past the hour and quarter of the hour in a pre-designated area within the Green Pavilion. Please refer to the Green Pavilion onsite for the schedule of presentations.

Green pavilion attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the SCTE SEMI program and understand how they become involved with this growing industry initiative. Please look for the SCTE SEMI booth in the green pavilion.
