The SCTE Green Pavilion at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® 2011 will focus on the highest priorities for energy management based on the work of SCTE's Smart Energy Management Initiative (SEMI). SCTE's SEMI, an expansion of SCTE's leadership role in the application of environmentally-friendly and sustainable procedures and products, is intended to drive the creation of meaningful solutions for more efficient operations and economic benefit, as well as positive community impact, for cable operators. This year the Green Pavilion will not only highlight the practical business of energy conservation but also highlight network availability focused on the cable telecommunications industry. With this expanded effort, SCTE further demonstrates its aptitude for bringing buyers and sellers together to better equip and plan the networks in the cable telecommunications industry. Companies exhibiting in the Green Pavilion can reach potential buyers in a concentrated, highly visible fashion. |

Under the auspices of the SEMI Steering Council, the SCTE Green Pavilion will assemble a set of qualified exhibitors, each focused on energy efficiency in at least one of the following areas:
- Powering alternatives for facilities and plant
- Fleet and workforce management including alternative-fuel vehicles, smart routing and other fleet management options
- Load reduction for facilities and plant equipment
- Improvement in cooling requirements, improved cooling efficiency and alternative cooling systems
- Operational upgrades and improvements to enable additional efficiencies
- Disaster preparedness regarding energy support
- Network availability surrounding power
- Business services availability surrounding power

Companies requesting to exhibit in the Green Pavilion must apply to ensure products/services being displayed in the Pavilion meet the areas of focus and criteria set forth by the SEMI Steering Council. Invitations for participation will then be extended to companies as space permits on a first-come, first-served basis.
The following process will determine the Green Pavilion Exhibitor selection:
- Companies requesting to exhibit in the Green Pavilion must complete the application.
- Companies whose products/services are approved will be informed in writing by SCTE.
- Upon receipt of the exhibiting company's completed contract and proper payment, space within the Green Pavilion will be assigned and a written confirmation forwarded with additional exhibit information.
- Companies whose products/services do not qualify for the Green Pavilion will be informed in writing by SCTE. Those companies are still welcome to apply for exhibit space on the Expo show floor, apart from the Green Pavilion, at current exhibit rates.
Companies that have products or solutions that assist in one or more of the specific focus areas described below and which also meet the criteria stated above will be invited to showcase those products in the Expo Green Pavilion.
The criteria include:

- Information Technology (IT)
Companies invited to exhibit in the Green Pavilion will be given a preferential Green Pavilion space rate structure, and special promotion of this area will take place. During show floor hours, presentations will take place every 15 minutes at quarter past the hour and quarter of the hour.
