The SCTE Green Pavilion is one component of the new Expo Cable Technology Spotlight that will focus on the highest priorities for energy management in the major MSOs. It will highlight the practical business of energy conservation focused on the cable telecommunications industry. With this new effort, SCTE will further demonstrate its aptitude for bringing buyers and sellers together to better equip and plan the networks in the cable telecommunications industry. Companies exhibiting in the Green Pavilion can reach potential buyers in a concentrated, highly visible fashion.
Under the auspices of an MSO Steering Council, the SCTE Green Pavilion will assemble a set of qualified exhibitors, each focused on energy efficiency in at least one of three specific areas:
- Powering improvements and alternatives for facilities and plant
- Fleet enhancements involving smart routing and other fleet management options
- Operational upgrades and improvements to enable additional efficiencies
Companies requesting to exhibit in the Green Pavilion must apply to ensure products/services being displayed in the Pavilion meet the areas of focus and criteria set forth by the MSO Steering Council. Invitations for participation will then be extended to companies as space permits.
The following processes will be used to determine the Green Pavilion Exhibitor selection.
- Companies requesting to exhibit in the Green Pavilion must complete the application which will be reviewed by the MSO Steering Council for review.
- Companies whose products/services are approved by the Council will be informed in writing by the SCTE National Conferences group and sent the coordinating Green Pavilion exhibitor contract.
- Upon receipt of exhibiting company's completed contract and proper payment, space within the Green Pavilion will be assigned and a written confirmation forwarded with additional exhibit information.
- Companies whose products/services do not qualify for the Green Pavilion, as determined by the Council, will be informed in writing by the SCTE National Conferences group. Those companies are not prohibited from applying for exhibit space on the Expo show floor, outside the Green Pavilion, at current exhibit rates.
SCTE Green Pavilion Exhibit Application
Companies that have products or solutions that assist in one of the specific focus areas described below and which also meet the criteria suggested by the MSO Steering Council will be invited to showcase those products in the Expo Green Pavilion.
The criteria include:
- Products/services will be those available for wide scale deployment currently, or within a 12 month period
- Products/services must have a tangible, bottom-line economic benefit to the adopting companies
The specific areas of focus include:
- Facilities & Plant
- Fleet
- Operations
Companies receiving invitations to exhibit in the Green Pavilion will be given a preferential Green Pavilion space rate structure and special promotion of this area will take place. Exhibitors will bring their own display materials and will be responsible for any costs required for drayage, electrical or other special treatments that they may require.
The Green Pavilion will be arranged in a pod-like layout and will use sustainable, recycled or recyclable materials, designed to unearth the possibilities of energy management.
Green Pavilion Rates include:
- Booth and floor constructed of SmartBoard (sustainable, recycled or recyclable material)
- A booth identification sign listing your firm's name and booth number
- Twenty-four-hour security guard service in the exhibit hall during installation, dismantle, show hours and closed hours
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the aisles and general exhibit hall areas
- Heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning and general lighting of the exposition area
- The opportunity to submit a paper on the topic of energy efficiency for distribution to all Expo attendees. Please note paper submission deadline is August 31, 2009.
