SCTE honors the following winners during the Annual Awards Luncheon at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo^® 2008 on Wed., June 25 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Awards

Member of the Year
Recognizes the SCTE member who has made the most significant contributions to the Society during the past year.

SCTE Hall of Fame
Recognizing active SCTE members who, over the course of time, have made extraordinary contributions to the professional development, ideals and goals of the Society and the industry.

SCTE Excellence in Standards
Honors a participant in the SCTE Standards Program who has significantly contributed to both the technical standards program and the spirit of cooperation necessary for the success of voluntary standards.

Safety
Identifies and recognizes MSOs, contractors and individual divisions/systems of MSOs that have achieved an outstanding level of safety during 2007.

System of the Year Award
Presented by Communications Technology, this award recognizes the operator whose achievements in broadband deployment and delivery serves as the industry benchmark for technical capability.

Women in Technology
Sponsored by CommScope, and made possible through a joint effort of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), Communications Technology magazine and SCTE, this award recognizing one woman who has demonstrated outstanding personal and professional growth and significantly contributed to the cable telecommunications industry.

Shapp Scholarship

Shapp Scholarship
SCTE provides scholarships to assist members and their children in their continued pursuit of knowledge. This scholarship is awarded annually in honor of Milton Jerrold Shapp, for children of cable industry employees.
