SCTE Cable-Tec Expo®—the industry's engineering show of the year—hosts approximately 10,000 annual attendees and provides the opportunity to discover and learn first-hand about the latest in cable technology, products and services. This year's event will provide a variety of insightful technical workshops; a hands-on, technology-focused exhibit hall including the SCTE Green Pavilion and the Expo Cable Technology Spotlight, which this year features the Networked Home Pavilion; the ever popular International Cable-Tec Games; the exciting Expo Evening event; the high profile Opening General Session; the prestigious Annual Awards Luncheon and invaluable networking opportunities.

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® will be held at the Morial Convention Center Oct. 20-22, 2010 as part of Cable Connection-Fall that unites multiple industry events at one time and place.

The SCTE Green Pavilion returns to the Cable-Tec Expo exhibit hall for 2010 and will focus on the highest priorities for energy management based on the work of SCTE's Smart Energy Management Initiative (SEMI). It will highlight the practical business of energy conservation focused on the cable telecommunications industry.

This year's Expo Technology Spotlight will feature the Networked Home Pavilion. It will highlight the cable-enabled home and the products and services MSOs may consider as enhancements to current services.

Sessions/Technical Workshops & Call for Papers
The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® program committee chaired by Jay A. Rolls, Senior Vice President, Technology at Cox Communications, will select a workshop program addressing today's technical and engineering issues and opportunities.

Speakers for this year's technical workshops are chosen through a Call for Papers process. The Call for Papers is closed for Cable-Tec Expo 2010. The technical workshops at Cable-Tec Expo will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 22 and reflect the ability of cable networks to provide compelling and diverse services to the customer. Workshop sessions will be grouped into 5 tracks, designed to help you identify the workshops most pertinent to your job function. View the technical workshop descriptions.

Pre-Conference Events
SCTE's one-day Conference on Broadband Learning & Development (CBL&D) is a unique way for Learning and Development (L&D) managers and trainers to bring their L&D programs up to the next level. Speakers will help attendees understand the major opportunities affecting L&D professionals in cable telecommunications. CBL&D 2010 will take place Tuesday, Oct. 19 in New Orleans, LA. Speaking opportunities at this year's CBL&D event will be chosen through a Call for Papers process. The call for proposals for educational, Learning & Development (L&D), and human performance improvement-related topics to be presented at CBL&D 2010 is closed.

The annual Cable-Tec Expo golf tournament will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, LA.

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers
The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is a non-profit professional association providing technical leadership for the telecommunications industry and serves its members through professional development, standards, certification and information.

Today more than 13,000 CTOs, engineers, system operation managers, technicians, and field operations personnel from the U.S. and 70 countries worldwide depend upon SCTE to deliver the tools they need to maintain their competitive edge.
